Brittney and Zach’s glorious Rib Mountain wedding was such a treat to photograph. I’ve never photographed in Wasau before so each turn brought on a new beautiful landscape. Also the couple’s sweet vintage inspired outfits matched perfectly with the lush greenery and rustic location. I just love how rich and vibrant the blue and greens are. The first look took place right outside the hotel, which lucky for us looked like a perfect landscaped golf course, pond and all! (you would never know it was right next to the interstate and a parking lot!) I LOVE first looks like this, it gives the couple the chance to get all of their emotions out, to laugh, cry and just hug eachother. It’s planned, but not posed.
Next we traveled to Granite Peak Ski Resort and sat the glowing couple among the budding wildflowers and windblown grass. I had photographed Zach’s brother Jake and his wife Jill the previous summer and that familiarity made the day even more fun, along with Jake’s never ending jab’s and jokes at Zach’s expense. We then headed up Rib Mountain to the dense forest and endless vista, where the ceremony was taking place. If you want a mountain feel and don’t want to head out to Colorado, Rib Mountain is the place. We ended up back at the bottom of the mountain for the reception, complete with an outdoor fireplace. The night ended with laughter and happy tears through the first dances….and a pretty awesome ice cream sundae bar. I couldn’t be happier for this adorable couple, thank you Brittney and Zach for inviting me along, it was a privilege to be your photographer.
A beautiful necklace Brittney received highlighting Nova Scotia, where she’s from
Awww….this first look with Brittany’s Dad was so sweet.
I love the Mix-Matched shirts and ties of Zach and his Groomsmen.
The beautiful vista of the ceremony site.
The tears were flowing all day.
Happy sparkly children running through wildflowers, doesn’t get much better than that!
Cupcakes and ice cream….Yeah!!
