Last Saturday I had the chance to photograph Katie and Will’s engagement session and we had such a great time. Until a few weeks ago Wisconsin’s winter had been uneventfully snowless, so Katie’s brilliant idea of a winter wonderland shoot had been rescheduled several times. But finally the heaven’s blessed us with an abundant snowfall and I drove out to Katie’s parents cabin to meet the sweet couple and see what they had planned. When I pulled up I was a little star-struck! Katie’s parents cabin was more like a cabin/mansion, it was PERFECT! The rows and rows of tall pine trees that surrounded the cabin were so majestic. Katie’s family had gotten involved and built a fire circle, with a handmade log bench complete with a cute toboggan and marshmallows to roast, I mean how lucky could I get?! The icing on the cake was the outfit coordination between the couple, not only did they look great but also the pops of red really get the camera’s attention and the contrast of fur against the skin is so flattering. All in all it was a glorious shoot and now I can’t wait for their wedding day, not only to spend more time with this sweet couple but also to see what Katie and the family have in store for their big day!
Such gorgeous green eyes!
One of my favorite shots from the day:)
Such a beautiful home, nestlled on acres and acres of beautiful forest!
