Tara Draper Photography

As an artist, I bring my vision and creative talents every time I pick up my camera. I’m heavily influenced by art, emotion and fashion and have always sought a creative outlet. I worked as a graphic designer for many years before becoming a photographer. I have always loved photography, how it can transport you into a different place and time with just one image. Once I focused my efforts behind the lens, I knew I had found the perfect medium that would allow me to combine my creativity, love of working with others, and my design talents. My creative eye is continually searching for beautiful textures, colors and light and being a photographer is my dream come true.

I enjoy connecting with my clients on a personal level. I’m all about having a good time and making your photography experience fun and enjoyable. It’s my job to tell your story, capturing the essence of who you are. I strive to create timeless, natural, creative photographs that you and your family will cherish forever. 

I live in Wisconsin Dells with my wonderful and supportive husband, Justin. We built a small natural light studio on our property in July of  2012, and it has been a perfect space for photographing newborn, children and seniors.  We also own a restaurant with Justin’s long-time best friend in Downtown Wisconsin Dells , the High Rock Cafe. Justin is an amazing chef and we are both blessed with exciting careers.

Other passions in my life include spending time outdoors, wine, live music, traveling and our yellow lab, Jake. I am a huge animal lover, and Jake is my first dog, so he is like my baby…yea, he’s spoiled:)
